Quad Lock for a Year Giveaway: Contest Rules (EU and UK)

Article 1: General Contest Organisation

ANNEX PRODUCTS PTY LTD (ACN 154 777 401), trading as Quad Lock, registered in accordance with the laws of Australia, having its registered office at Como Centre, Suite 6A, Level 3, 299 Toorak Road, South Yarra, Victoria 3141, Australia (hereinafter the "Sponsor"), is organising a free prize draw, the "Quad Lock for a Year Giveaway" (hereinafter the "Contest"), at Quad Lock stands at in-person events in Europe.

These contest rules (hereinafter the "Rules") define the conditions applicable to the Contest.

No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve the chances of winning.

Article 2: Eligibility and Restrictions on Participation

Participation in the Contest is subject to the participant's acceptance of these Rules. By participating, entrants acknowledge that they have read and understood these Rules and agree to abide by them.

The Contest is open to any natural person who is 18 years of age or older at the time of entry and who is resident in a member state of the European Union, the United Kingdom, Norway or Switzerland, excluding residents of Italy and Portugal (hereinafter the "Participating Countries").

Staff members of the Sponsor, its affiliates (its subsidiaries, sister companies and controlling companies), and any company involved in the implementation of the Contest are not eligible to participate. This exclusion extends to the family members (spouse or partner, children, parents, brothers and sisters) of those staff members.

A participant is identified by the first name, last name, email address and country of residence provided on the entry form (hereinafter the "Contact Information"). Any entry containing false, erroneous or incomplete Contact Information will be void. The Sponsor may carry out any verification necessary to enforce these Rules, including verification of the participant's identity, age, country of residence and attendance at the relevant Event.

The status of winner cannot be attributed to a person who does not meet the conditions set out in these Rules.

Article 3: Contest Period

The Contest begins on 14 October 2026 at 08:00 CET and ends on 1 January 2027 at 23:59 CET (hereinafter the "Contest Period"). The Sponsor's database is the official time-keeping device for the Contest.

Article 4: How to Enter

Entry is free and available only in person. To enter, the participant must, during the Contest Period:

  1. visit a Quad Lock stand in a Participating Country that displays the official Contest QR code, during the hours the stand is open to the public (each such stand and occasion, an "Event");
  2. scan the QR code displayed at the stand; and
  3. fully complete and submit the entry form with the Contact Information requested.

There is no online, postal or other method of entry. Entry forms submitted from any location other than an Event are void.

Each participant may enter once only for the whole Contest Period, regardless of the number of Event visits or QR code scans. Only the first valid entry received will count. Any later entries by the same person will be void.

Entries made on behalf of another person, entries made through automated means, and incomplete or erroneous entries will be rejected without liability on the part of the Sponsor. Any false statement by a participant will result in the participant's exclusion from the Contest and the forfeiture of any prize the participant may have won.

Article 5: Prize

One (1) prize, "Free Quad Lock for a Year" (hereinafter the "Prize"), will be awarded to one (1) winner selected by random draw from all valid entries received during the Contest Period. The Prize comprises both elements below, awarded to the same winner in a single draw. Total approximate value of the Prize: EUR [3,279].

The value of the iPhone is based on Apple's recommended retail price in France at the date of these Rules. The Sponsor accepts no responsibility for any change in the value of the Prize after that date.

Gift vouchers. All twelve (12) vouchers will be emailed to the winner within thirty (30) days after the winner is confirmed. Each voucher is redeemable only during its stated calendar month, at [quidlockcase.com] for Quad Lock products. Vouchers have no cash value, cannot be combined, and are subject to the terms stated on each voucher. A voucher not redeemed in its month expires and will not be refunded, replaced or reissued.

iPhone. The iPhone will be delivered to the winner's address in their Participating Country within forty-five (45) days after the winner is confirmed. It is provided with the manufacturer's standard warranty, in addition to any statutory guarantee rights the winner has under applicable law. Mobile service, data plans and accessories are not included.

The Prize is strictly limited to its description and does not include any additional expenses or services related to its use, which are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other item.

If the winner is prevented from receiving all or part of the Prize because of their own acts or omissions, the winner will lose the benefit of that part of the Prize without any reimbursement or compensation.

If circumstances require, in particular if a prize supplier fails to deliver, the Sponsor may replace any element of the Prize with an item of equivalent or greater value. In the event of force majeure or other exceptional circumstances beyond the Sponsor's control, the Sponsor may modify the Contest in whole or in part, postpone delivery of the Prize, replace the Prize with one of equivalent value, or, if no other solution is possible, cancel the Prize.

Article 6: Determination of the Winner

The winner will be determined by a random draw conducted by the Sponsor on 4 January 2027 from all valid entries received during the Contest Period.

Article 7: Notification of the Winner and Delivery of the Prize

Award of the Prize is subject to the validity of the entry, which the Sponsor may verify at any time, and to the absence of any suspicion of fraud. Any entry that is incomplete, erroneous or does not comply with these Rules will be rejected without liability on the part of the Sponsor.

The winner will be notified by email or phone within three (3) days of the draw. If the winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days after the first attempt, or does not claim the Prize within that period, the winner will forfeit the Prize and an alternate winner may be drawn from the remaining valid entries.

The Sponsor is not responsible for loss of the Prize by the postal service or carrier, for delivery delays, or for the condition of the Prize on delivery, except where the Sponsor is at fault. The winner should refuse any visibly damaged package and notify the carrier and the Sponsor.

Article 8: Liability and Force Majeure

The Sponsor shall not be liable where a participant:

  • suffered a technical failure of any kind when scanning the QR code or submitting the entry form (mobile network, device, server incident or accidental disconnection);
  • provided inaccurate or incomplete Contact Information that makes it impossible to notify them or deliver the Prize; or
  • did not meet the conditions for receiving the Prize.

Entry by mobile device involves the characteristics and limits of mobile and internet technologies, including response times, interruptions and the risks inherent in any data transmission. Each participant is responsible for protecting their own device and data.

The Sponsor may cancel, suspend or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failure, cancellation of an Event or any other factor beyond its control affects the integrity or proper conduct of the Contest.

The Sponsor's records of entries, including dates and times of submission, constitute evidence of participation unless the participant proves otherwise.

Third-party prize elements, including the iPhone, are subject to the terms and conditions of their manufacturers or suppliers.

Nothing in these Rules excludes or limits the Sponsor's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, for fraud, for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including the statutory rights of consumers in their country of residence.

Article 9: Complaints and Fraud

Any complaint about the Contest should be sent by email to events@quadlock.com.au, preferably within ninety (90) days after the end of the Contest Period, so that it can be investigated while records are available. This does not affect any rights participants have under applicable law.

If the Contact Information provided by a participant does not allow the Sponsor to notify them of their win or deliver the Prize, they lose the status of winner.

The Sponsor may cancel all or part of the Contest if fraud of any kind has occurred, including computer fraud or fraud in the determination of the winner. In that case, the Sponsor may decline to award the Prize and may pursue the persons responsible before the competent courts. Participating under one or more fictitious names, or names borrowed from third parties, is fraudulent. Each participant must enter under their own name. Any fraud will result in the participant's elimination.

Article 10: Protection of Personal Data

The Sponsor is the controller of the personal data collected in connection with the Contest. The Sponsor processes that personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the "GDPR") and, for participants resident in the United Kingdom, the UK GDPR.

Personal data will be shared only with service providers that help the Sponsor run the Contest and deliver the Prize, and will not be sold or transferred to commercial partners. Because the Sponsor is established in Australia, personal data will be transferred to Australia, which is not covered by an adequacy decision. These transfers are protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and, for UK data, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. Participants may request a copy of these safeguards at the address below.

Article 11: Access to the Rules

These Rules may be consulted at [https://quidlockcase.com/pages/quad-lock-for-a-year] and through a QR code displayed at each Event. A copy of these Rules will be sent free of charge to any person who requests it by email to events@quadlock.com.au.

Article 12: Publication of the Winner's Name

The Sponsor may publish the winner's first name, last name initial and city of residence on the page referred to in Article 11 for six (6) months after the draw, to inform participants of the result. This processing is based on the Sponsor's legitimate interest. The winner may object to it at any time in accordance with Article 10, in which case the Sponsor will publish the result without identifying the winner.

Article 13: Applicable Law and Disputes

Any dispute concerning the application or interpretation of these Rules should first be raised with the Sponsor under Article 9 so that an amicable solution can be sought. If no amicable solution is reached, the dispute will be submitted to the competent courts. Nothing in these Rules deprives a participant of the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of their country of residence, or of their right to bring proceedings before the courts of that country.

Article 14: Translation

These Rules are drafted in English. Translations may be made available for information. In the event of any inconsistency between the English version and a translation, the English version prevails, except where the law of the participant's country of residence requires otherwise.
